If like me you loved the American Gangster flick at the end of last year, check out this book. I got it for Christmas and although Im only part way through it really is a good read and explains quite graphically how the drug game was run in Nicky barnes' own words. Cuba Gooding Jnr plays Nicky barnes in American Gangster and comes off lookin' like a clown compared to Frank Lucas (Denzel) but if Barnes is to be beileved Lucas wasn't even in the same league as him, read on....

So not only was I gutted that Liverpool stupidly let Reading beat them at the weekend, not only was I stuck in bed all weekend with flu, but the fight I'd been waiting months for ended up with Ricky gettin' knocked out (as you all know) it was like a world cup year suddenly everyone who'd never had an interest in boxing became a boxing expert!! Anyway in amongst boxing conversations me and my bro got talkin' about the old Naseem Hamed ring entrances from back in the day, he loved them didn't he, some lasted longer than some of his fights!! Anyone who knows me knows that I have never understood how so many people in the game give Lil Wayne props, Ive said before maybe Im missing something, but I don't think I am, this guy is doin' the biggest con job in hip hop, I call him the 'cat on the mat' rapper meaning that's what his emcee skills amount too, single syllable rhymin' and it doesnt make sense, and someone must really hate me becuase every album Ive purchased lately has him guestin' on it!! Anyway he's one the cover of Complex magazine and read this:

With Lil Wayne gracing their December/January cover, Complex magazine has released an uncut version of the interview on their website. In it, Wayne addresses everything from the Hot Boys reunion to smoking blunts with Oscar De la Hoya, Tom from MySpace and Bill Gates. When asked about the fact that fans have been suggesting that Kanye’s verse bested Wayne’s on his track “Barry Bonds,” Weezy had this to say:
“I think he did too, meaning his verse was better. Yeah but I’m going to get him. ‘Ye killed me on that song. I was tight because I was like it could be way hotter than this. So when I heard his verse I was like “oh, we doing this again.” I done it twice, they got two different versions. I done one and I ain’t hear his verse and I done the other one after I heard his verse and even when I finished I said why don’t you let him be the man of song. Meaning that it was needed and what I’ve done nobody else can do it.”

Ok so Construction Management is my everyday hustle and although Ive worked on some pretty good projects, something like this amazes me, I pass through it every night on my way home and not only does is look great you can get on a train and be in Paris in 2 hours!!! So the hot topic today is that we failed to reach the Euro Championships, McClaren's out,at last, he was the wrong choice from day one, but we have to realise that for years we have been a group of individuals unable to paly as a team, you can probably count Englands best performances over the last 10 years on 2 fingers (Holland 4-1 and beating Germany in Germany!) Let's hope now the FA have a hard look at themselves and have a complete overhaul!!

Anyway a lot of people will critise the living legend that is Steven Gerrard for his performance last night, and fair enough it wasnt all that, but Im lookin forward to more moments like this in the red shirt this year!!
